Why we came home from Harrogate talking about Veni Infantino
We went to the bridal show at Harrogate this year to see what the designers are doing. Veni Infantino had the best dresses there, and honestly it was not close. That is why a new Veni collection is coming to our bridal rail. Ask when you book. If it has arrived, it will be the first thing we show you.
Who we stock, and why it is these six
Serenity Exclusive, Sincerity, Mori Lee, Justin Alexander, Sophia Tolli and Richard Designs each hold enough of our rail to have a page of their own. Serenity Exclusive is our own label and the biggest collection in the shop. There are hundreds of dresses here, and more next door at Rock Your Curves. You will not get through them all, and you should not try. That is what your stylist is for. Lisa Spurgeon watched her daughter pick three dresses, and watched Yelina come back with four more, one of them a wild card nobody had asked for. The wild card is the one her daughter said yes to.
If you are nervous, you are in very good company
Nervous is the word we hear most. Yours will arrive too, and they do not tend to last. Kaleigh Hall came in so nervous she said so twice, and told Yelina afterwards that she had laughed and smiled the whole way through instead. Your appointment runs ninety minutes and it is private. Your stylist sits down with you before a single dress comes off the rail, because that conversation is what makes the rest of it work. A booking fee holds the slot. Walk in first if you would rather see the place before committing to a date.
Every size, and where the plus-size rail actually lives
Rock Your Curves opened next door in 2021. Not a rail tucked somewhere apologetic: a whole boutique built around you. Anna Davies arrived expecting to dread the changing room and told us afterwards that her fear of trying on dresses as a plus-size bride simply vanished, and that the dress she said yes to was nothing like the one she had pictured. That last part happens constantly. On alterations, the same honesty as everywhere else on this site. There is no seamstress in house. You may have travelled a long way to shop with us, so the final fitting is better done by someone local to home. Allow around eight weeks.
